Meet The Staff
Shirley Amador, Office Manager
Shirley is originally from Colombia, where she practiced as a licensed dentist for two years. She moved to Arizona in 2004 and continued to pursue her love of dentistry as a dental assistant. Due to her extensive dental background and familiarity with the industry, Shirley acts as manager of Union Hills Family Dentistry and assists with both the front office and in assisting Dr. Yoza with your treatment needs. Her main goal is to make sure your experience in our office meets your highest expectations and to make new friends while she's at it. During her down-time, she loves spending time with her daughter and of course her boxer, Troy!
Paul Amador, Lead Dental Assistant, Supplies Manager
Paul has been a dental assistant for 13 years and has been with Union Hills Family Dentistry since its inception in 2006! He is originally from Mexico City and has been living in Arizona for 15 years. Paul loves working with patients and finds it rewarding when he can help people that are apprehensive about going to the dentist overcome their fears. His patience and compassion truly make a difference. When he's not by your side in the dental chair, Paul is enjoying the great outdoors. He enjoys sports and any outdoor activity, with the exception of yard work, of course!
Kendra Livingston, Front Desk Associate
Kendra has been in the dental field for over two years and finds dentistry very rewarding. She loves to see the results of cosmetic and restorative dentistry and the positive impact it has on patients' lives. Being a people person, her favorite part of her workday is listening to patients tell stories of where they have been in there lives and how they ended up in Arizona.
Jill Thomas, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jill, originally from Tucson, received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Arts Degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Jill served as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, Health Science Center at San Antonio where she taught hygiene for five years. She also volunteered many hours at homeless shelters and working with mentally & physically disabled patients in the Head Start program. She has also worked in private practice for many years all over the world, including England & Germany while her husband served in the Air Force. During her downtime she enjoys boating, jet skiing & camping with her husband Doug, an Endodontist, and her twin boys, Ryan & Connor.
Kathy Faux, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kathy is originally from Florida and has come to us recently from a periodontal specialty practice where she worked as a hygienist for 22 years. Her main goal as your hygienist is to help you achieve the best oral health possible. The part of her position she enjoys most is the people she meets and gets to know. In her spare time, Kathy loves taking off with her husband on their Harley for rides around our beautiful state. She also loves hiking and anything that has to do with water and the outdoors.
